FBS Inc Review: Full Analysis

FBS is a Forex and CFD broker that has been operating since 2009 and serves a large international client base. In this FBS review, we look at regulation, account types, fees and spreads, platforms, deposits and withdrawals, bonuses, support and who the broker is best suited to. The aim is a neutral, practical picture so you can decide whether FBS fits your trading style.

Our database rates FBS 5.00 out of 5, but ratings are only one input. The details below explain where the broker performs well and where you should check the terms yourself before opening an account.

Regulation and Safety

Regulation is the first thing to check with any broker. FBS operates through several entities, each supervised by a different regulator, so the protections you receive depend on which entity you contract with. The entities named in the review are FBS Markets Inc. under the FSC in Belize, Tradestone LTD under CySEC in Cyprus, and Intelligent Financial Markets Pty LTD under ASIC in Australia.

No public record of proven misconduct was found during this review. Even so, you should confirm the entity name and licence details on the regulator's own website before depositing, because licence status can change.

Several safety features are described in the broker's materials:

  • Client funds are stated to be kept separate from company funds.
  • Negative balance protection is offered, which limits losses to the funds in the account.
  • The company states it has operated since 2009.

The entity you trade through determines which compensation scheme and dispute process apply, so read the client agreement for your specific entity.

Account Types

FBS keeps its account structure simple. Most traders use one main live account type, while demo accounts and Islamic (swap-free) accounts are also available. The main account features listed in the review include:

  • Base currencies of EUR, USD and JPY
  • Trade sizes from 0.01 to 500 lots
  • A maximum of 500 total orders, including 200 pending orders
  • Execution speeds described as low as 0.01 seconds

The simplicity suits beginners who do not want to compare multiple tiers. Experienced traders may still want to confirm how the Islamic account handles swap-free conditions and whether any account-specific limits apply to their strategy.

Demo Account

The demo account lets you practise on MT4 and MT5 with customisable settings. Demo accounts do not expire, and you can open more than one. Registration is required, but identity verification is not needed for the demo. A demo is useful for learning the platform, but it does not replicate the emotional pressure of trading real money, so treat it as a training tool rather than a full test of your strategy.

Fees, Spreads and Trading Costs

FBS uses a commission-free pricing model on Forex, with spreads that depend on the account and market conditions. The review lists minimum standard spreads from 0.7 pips, while our database records a 0.0 pip spread figure under its ECN and STP execution. Spreads widen during news releases and low-liquidity periods, so check live quotes before you trade.

A worked example from the review for EUR/USD shows the cost of a typical trade:

Item Example (EUR/USD, 1 standard lot)
Average spread 1.1 pips
Commission $0.00
Approximate cost per standard lot $11.00

Overnight financing (swap) also affects costs on positions held past the rollover time. In the review, holding one standard lot of EUR/USD for one night showed a swap long of -$5.46 and a swap short of -$0.61, while seven nights showed -$38.22 and -$4.27. Swap values change, so check them in your own platform before holding positions.

To find swap charges in MetaTrader, right-click the symbol in Market Watch, select Specification, and scroll to Swap Long and Swap Short. Some instruments can occasionally carry positive swap, which pays interest on qualifying positions.

FBS does not charge its own deposit or withdrawal fees according to the review, but payment providers may apply processing or currency conversion charges. No inactivity fee was identified during testing. The FBS trading calculator can help estimate costs before you place an order.

Trading Platforms and Tools

FBS supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on desktop, web and mobile, alongside the FBS app. Desktop is the most complete option for charting, custom indicators and automated trading. MT4 has a large library of indicators, templates and Expert Advisors, and MT5 has its own growing add-on ecosystem. MT4 users can also access MetaTrader MultiTerminal, which is useful for managing several accounts from one window.

The FBS app is well suited to checking open trades and tracking account activity on the move. For active strategy development, most traders will still prefer the desktop terminals.

Markets and Instruments

FBS offers more than 550 instruments. Forex is the core offering, with stock CFDs also making up a large share of the list. The review breakdown shows 72 Forex pairs, 5 cryptocurrencies, 11 metals and energies, 11 indices and 474 equity CFDs. Metals include gold, and energies include crude oil.

The range is strong for Forex and stock CFD traders. Crypto is limited, and ETFs were not listed, so investors looking for those products should look elsewhere.

Leverage and Margin Rules

FBS offers leverage of up to 1:3000 on qualifying Forex products and accounts. Leverage is set by asset type, so not every instrument reaches the top level. In the review, the limits were up to 1:500 for metals, up to 1:200 for energies and indices, and up to 1:100 for stock CFDs.

FBS also uses dynamic leverage, which reduces the available leverage as account equity grows. The reported margin call level is 40%, with stop-out at 20%. Negative balance protection is included.

High leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Using a small fraction of the available leverage and setting position sizes based on your account balance is far more important than the maximum figure on offer.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Our database lists the minimum deposit as $10. Some payment methods may have different minimums, so check the deposit page before funding. FBS supports more than 200 payment options, including bank wires, e-wallets, local payment services and several cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and USDT on TRC20 and ERC20 networks.

The processing times stated in the review were:

  • Cards: same business day
  • Bank wires: within 48 hours
  • Skrill or Neteller: 15 to 20 minutes, with some withdrawals taking up to 48 hours

AML rules apply. The name on the payment account must match the trading account name. FBS returns the original deposit to the funding source before sending any extra funds to another method. Account verification is required before a withdrawal is processed, and most traders provide a government-issued ID and proof of address.

Bonuses, Promotions and Partner Program

Our current listing highlights a 100% deposit bonus. No bonuses or promotions were listed during the review period, so bonus terms change over time and should be checked directly with the broker. Read any bonus conditions carefully, including withdrawal restrictions and trading volume requirements.

FBS also runs a multi-tier partner program. According to the broker, it can pay up to 43% of the fees FBS earns on trades, and it lists more than 700,000 partners and over $1.5 million in monthly commission payouts. These are broker-supplied figures and were not independently verified in this review. The program is most relevant to people who plan to promote the broker rather than trade with it.

Education, Research and Customer Support

FBS Academy offers beginner-friendly written guides and learning content, along with webinars, seminars, tutorials and a trader blog. Market analysis is published in five languages. This is one of the broker's stronger features for new traders. It is still worth learning risk management from independent sources as well.

Support is available 24/7 in multiple languages through live chat, email and phone, including a call-back option. A Help Center answers common questions.

Who FBS Is Best For

FBS is a sensible fit for:

  • Beginners who want a low minimum deposit and a simple account structure
  • Traders who want MT4 or MT5 with a large range of Forex pairs
  • Scalpers and active traders who value low spreads and high leverage, provided they manage risk carefully
  • Affiliates interested in the partner program

It may be less suitable for investors who want ETFs, traders who need an extensive crypto list, or anyone who wants to trade only with a single, well-defined regulator. Compare the entity and terms you would actually use with other brokers, such as XM Group or Valetax, before deciding.

Trading leveraged products involves a high risk of losing money quickly, and most retail accounts lose money. The review noted a retail loss rate of 69.21%, which is a reminder to start small and keep your risk per trade under control.

Disclaimer: Trading forex and CFDs involves significant risk and may not suit every investor. This review of FBS Inc is for information only and is not financial advice. Always check the broker's latest terms before you deposit.
